Top Ten Two!

Well here I sit in the Denver airport, waiting for a flight…boring! So what better time to start working on my second Top Ten? I have to admit, it hasn’t changed much, so instead of giving you pretty much the same 10 songs, I am going to just start from 11 and move on. So, without further ado….

1. Young the Giant- My Body: Listening to this song as I write about it actually! This is the best song for those grueling workouts when you just want to throw in the towel and take a nap! Very motivating!!

2.  Shooter Jennings- Lonesome Blues: Another off my Sleep playlist, this song is bluesy country and soulful…I love it!! (impossible to find a good version of this song on YouTube, so I just uploaded my iTunes version…whatever works!)

4. The White Stripes- I Fell in Love With a Girl: I feel in love with the White Stripes with this song and I have never recovered completely. Its a fast-paced song that gets my blood pumping!

5. Bad Meets Evil- Lighters: Eminem, Bruno Mars…winning combo for me!! Love this song! I have a major soft spot for Eminem. This song has a very catchy chorus and a message that I can relate to…sort of. lol!

6.  Alex Care- Too Close: I am very into this heavy bass music lately. My nephew Tyler calls it dub step…I don’t care what it’s called, I just like it! This one has been featured on television commercials so might be familiar to you.

7. Imagine Dragons- Radioactive: Another “dub step” heavy bass song…that has also been featured on commercials.

(…continued from home :D)
8. The Band Perry- All Your Life: Such a sweet song! I love the message of this song…sweet simple love! ❤

9. Paul McCartney- (I Want To) Come Home: I think it’s safe to say that I have a soft spot for Paul McCartney’s more recent stuff. This song has a lot of emotion and sadness….and I totally relate.

10. Punch Brothers- Dark Days: Another Hunger Games gem. This is a very powerful song with lingering lyrics…I love the tone of it, and it totally suits the movie/novel!

To be honest, almost the entire Hunger Games soundtrack is in my top played. There are also some songs in my top 25 that I have not listened to in over a month! At one point, they were the songs I could not stop listening to (as Muse is currently) so they have racked up so many plays that is it going to take forever to get them off the list! So, to save from having a Top Ten filled with the Hunger Games, my entire sleep playlist, or irrelevant songs, I have been being judicial with my selections. Once I figure out how to reset the counts, or reset my Top 25 playlist, this will be more accurate. Until then, I will just have to sift out the old “tops”.

Scratch that…I just figured it out!! 😀
